Paul Mihailidis is a doctoral candidate in
the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. His
current research looks at media literacy on the higher education level.
Specifically, he is concerned with how media education affects undergraduate
students’ views of their role in democracy and their understanding of civic
awareness. His research explores the possible connections between media
literacy and citizenship.
